Draymond Green is back. The Golden State Warriors star made his highly anticipated return to action tonight against the Memphis Grizzlies. Green had been out of the Warriors lineup for over a month following his controversial suspension. Despite the NBA giving him the green light after missing 12 games, Green was kept out of the rotation by the Warriors to get back in game shape. And it looks like Draymond’s patience paid off.

The former DPOY pulled off a special maneuver in his return after 16 games. However, Draymond’s past continued to haunt him as the NBA World trolled him with hilarious reactions.

Draymond Green shocked the NBA world when he drilled his first shot attempt upon his return. And what was even more surprising was that it was a three-pointer. Green made the shot with ease after Stephen Curry passed him the rock. Bleacher Report shared the video of Draymond’s first basket after return on X, “Draymond hits a three on his first shot.” The NBA World misinterpreted the caption and trolled Draymond despite his incredible comeback. Fans brought up Draymond’s controversial past and made some hilarious remarks on X. One fan wrote, “Thank god I thought he hit three players at once.” Similar reactions followed.

Although Draymond got trolled on social media upon his return, the fact that his first basket was a three-pointer shocked everyone. Draymond has never been known for his shooting ability. He is a career 31.7 percent shooter from beyond the arc. However, this season has been different for the former DPOY. Draymond is having the best shooting season of his career this season. He has shot 42.9 percent from the three-point line this season.

That is 3 percent higher than his teammate Stephen Curry, the Greatest shooter in NBA history.

The Warriors play with a different energy when Draymond Green is in the lineup. That was evident in tonight’s game against the Grizzlies. Draymond made both his shots in the first half upon his return and gave the Warriors a much-needed confidence boost. Stephen Curry also had more room to operate with Draymond available to make plays for him. Even though Draymond had not played for over a month, he did not show any signs of rust.
