The Minnesota Timberwolves suffered a heart breaking loss to the Sacramento Kings last night. Domantas Sabonis and Co. beat the Timberwolves 124-120 in a thrilling overtime finish. A major reason for the Timberwolves’ loss was that Anthony Edwards left the arena mid-game to attend the birth of his child. Following last night’s disappointing loss, the Timberwolves will go head-to-head against the LA Clippers tomorrow. However, Edwards might miss that game as well for completely different reasons.

According to the latest Timberwolves’ injury report, Anthony Edwards’ status for tomorrow’s game is questionable. The 2-time All-Star is dealing with left ankle soreness and might miss the Clippers showdown. That will be a massive blow for Minnesota as they will have to play without their best player for the second straight game. Edwards has played brilliantly all season, averaging 26.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 5.1 assists. He has helped the Timberwolves become the top-seeded team in the Western Conference standings with a 42-18 record.

While Edwards’ status raises concerns, the Timberwolves also received positive news in the injury report. Forward Kyle Anderson’s status has been upgraded from doubtful to questionable for tomorrow’s game. Slow Mo has been out for the last two games due to a left knee sprain. And there is a chance he might return to action against the Clippers. Anderson has had a decent season so far, averaging 6.2 points, 4.1 assists, and 3.5 rebounds. His return will increase the depth of the Timberwolves bench and give them a solid role player for the remainder of the season.

Can the Timberwolves beat the Clippers without Anthony Edwards?

With Anthony Edwards on the injury report, Minnesota might have to find another way to topple the stacked Clippers team. The Timberwolves will need their other superstars, Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert, to step up in Ant-Man’s absence and help the team win. Although the Timberwolves are the best team in the West, the Clippers are not an easy team to beat. The Clippers have played great all season, and their Big 4 have been in incredible form. They blew out the Washington Wizards 140-115 last night with a brilliant all-around performance.

Kawhi Leonard and James Harden dominated the game, combining for 55 points. Paul George also made his return from injury after missing two straight games and scored 22 points in the win. The Clippers are a major threat in the West with 4 future Hall of Famers on their roster. And Minnesota will have to dig deep and pull off an incredible performance to win tomorrow’s game without Anthony Edwards.
