The Minnesota Timberwolves are set to face off against the Los Angeles Clippers tonight. The game is going to be crucial as it will mark the final regular-season meeting between the rival teams. With the Timberwolves ranked as the 3 seed and the Clippers as the 4 on the Western Conference chart, the game will also determine which team has the better chance of making it to the playoffs. Shooting guard Anthony Edwards’s availability had been questionable ever since he developed a left ankle soreness. For fans, waiting to receive any information about the same, an update has finally been provided.

According to ClutchPoints writer Tomer Azarly, the latest Injury Report released by the Timberwolves has placed Anthony Edwards in the ‘questionable’ category. This means that the 22-year-old has an almost 50-50 chance of making it to the matchup. Other players who have been placed in the ‘questionable’ category include Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Rudy Gobert, Kyle Anderson, and Monte Morris. Meanwhile, star players Russell Westbrook, Karl-Anthony Towns and Jaylen Clark have been ruled ‘out’ of the game.

The 2x NBA All-Star had ended up rolling his left ankle within the first 26 seconds of a game against the Indiana Pacers. He returned to the court after the second half and even managed to make an appearance during the next two games. The consequences of that incident, however, are surfacing now, because of which the player has been placed on the Injury Report.

What to expect from Timberwolves vs Clippers with Anthony Edwards present?

Anthony Edwards has been delivering a remarkable performance during the ongoing season. Out of the 62 games in which he has appeared, he has managed to average 26.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 5 assists. Given that his average has remained consistently the same over the past 5 games, fans can expect the player to be a significant contributor during the Timberwolves-Clippers clash.

Despite Edwards’ contribution, the Timberwolves have been facing a few troubles recently. The absence of Karl-Anthony Towns may have contributed to the team losing two out of their last three games. With the player being out of the next game as well and the Clippers looking to welcome Kawhi Leonard and Paul George back into their fold, the odds for Minnesota do not seem too good. However, Anthony Edwards and Naz Reid, combined, have had some significant success this season, and could help to pull off a worthwhile offensive play.
