Joel Embiid is an extremely skilled basketball player who can get a little too expressive on the court. While the fans may love it, the referees and the NBA never really do. Just take today’s case. During the In-Season tournament match-up against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the center made a move that cost him.

This is the last game in the tournament for the Sixers and they need a win to get a shot at the $500000 cash prize. Philadelphia is placed in the second position behind the Indiana Pacers in the EAST: GROUP A. With so much at stake, it looks like Joel Embiid took things a little too seriously. The game was just into the first quarter when Embiid incurred a foul. As he was trying to make a shot, the six-time All-Star rammed his shoulders into Cavaliers’ forward, Dean Wade. This called for a foul and a timeout just as Joel made the bucket. He was seen throwing his hands around in shock at the referee’s call.

While basketball is a high-contact sport, it is important to not get too physical on the court. Joel Embiid got a well-deserved foul with this one, but it is not his first this season.

On October 31st, the Philadelphia 76ers took on the Portland Trail Blazers, where he used WWE D-Generation X/Triple H’s ‘Suck It’ celebration after the victory. The NBA fined him for “repeatedly making an obscene gesture on the playing court,” and had to cough up $35,000.

But this was not his first time employing this celebration. In January, he used it during their win over the Brooklyn Nets. At the time, even Triple H came to his defense and offered to pay the fines. He went on to invite the Cameroonian to a Wrestlemania 40 showdown in Philly. Seeing that he has been doing this for the past few seasons, it looks like Joel Embiid has no plans to stop this celebration.
