He talked about his new role as the Sixers? starting point guard and how James Harden has impacted his breakout performance this season, saying Harden made him a better basketball player. Even though Harden and Philly?s relations ended on bad terms, it looks like there is no animosity between the players. Harden is a former MVP and one of the best point guards in the league, and it is great to hear that Tyrese Maxey picked up some of his teachings and skills to implement in his game.

The Philadelphia 76ers are currently 2nd in the Eastern Conference standings, and Tyrese Maxey is a big reason for their success. It could have been a major struggle for the Sixers to find a replacement for James Harden, who complemented Joel Embiid well. Fortunately for them, Maxey elevated his game to the next level and answered when his number got called.

Tyrese Maxey has taken a huge leap in his 4th season. There has been a major improvement in his overall game and that has put him into All-Star and Most Improved conversations. Across the league, Tyrese is 10th in scoring, 11th in assists, 3rd in free throw percentage, and he is playing more minutes than any player in the league. Those are some All-Star caliber numbers.
He has also led Philadelphia to a 10-3 record, which is a huge factor in the All-Star voting. If Tyrese continues to perform at this level till the All-Star weekend, he will most likely get his first All-Star team nod this season. That will be a great achievement for the 23-year-old guard, and it will also bring some joy among Philly fans.
