Now, we are not saying Trae Young and popular YouTuber, Kai Cenat might have a beef going on. But, ‘Ice Trae’ can’t seem to pass up on an opportunity to troll the 22-year-old. An avid Lakers fan, Kai, along with other top names from various fields, was part of the Celebrity Game at the 2024 NBA All-Star Weekend in Indiana. Cenat was on the winning team, led by NFL legend Shannon Sharpe and rapper, 50 Cent.

On posting his All-Star fit on Instagram after the victory, the Hawks star guard had a hilarious reaction. “They wasn’t passing you the ball,” he commented, successfully directing a dig at Kai’s contribution to the win. Per his flashy and loud personality, Cenat had uploaded a video where he was training and getting his shots in ahead of the celebrity game.

The only hitch? His opponents were all children! So, despite talking up a big game (upon arrival, Kai said he’d drop 30 points and if ‘Ice Spice’ arrived, it’d be 45), the online streamer saw limited minutes and a disappointing stat line. After the whole ordeal, Kai Cenat is back once again. And this time, his target was none other than the Philadelphia big man, Joel Embiid.

Linking up with the 76ers superstar in Las Vegas where Team USA was practicing for the Olympics, the 5’9 Cenat told Embiid that he could easily take the 7-footer on the court. There was no hesitancy in his voice when he answered Joel’s question, “You think you can beat me?” Kai’s reply? “Hell yeah, I could beat you, bro!” However, unlike his fate after the Celebrity Game (he was roasted bad!), Kai had quite the supportive fans on X.

Fans jump into Kai Cenat’s ship claiming he could “easily” beat Joel Embiid

Comments flowed in as soon as the NBA’s official X handle uploaded the comical video. But as opposed to the usual norm, Kai received much support and encouragement. Here’s the first one. “Kai would fry Embiid fr bro can’t guard a parked car,” said one user. Singing a similar tune was this next individual as they commented, “In all honesty he could, everyone always beat embiid.” And yet, another user cut no corners when they said, “Easily too.”

Joel Embiid has been on the receiving end of much hate for years now. A combination of ‘flopping’ charges and lack of playoff success has more often than not turned “The Process” into a heavily ridiculed center. Even though, when healthy, he practically demolishes any and every opponent in the blink of an eye and ranks among the elite of dominant centers in NBA history, the Cameroonian native hardly ever catches a break.

But the comments weren’t purely restricted to Embiid. Kai, at the beginning of his conversation with Joel, said, “I be hoopin’.” This next fan couldn’t help but provide some proof in support. “He’s not lying, Kai can hoop 😭 🤣”
