While talking to Caitlyn Holroyd for theScore, the French sensation was asked how important it was for him to win RoY. He calmly explained that it was not actually his main goal. This makes one wonder, what is his main goal? He shared that it is to win an NBA championship. “Everyone wants it, for sure, but some more than others. What are Victor’s chances of winning?

The Spurs played four preseason games and Wembanyama came through. He had a disappointing first game where he put up just nine points on 2-for-13 shooting with three turnovers. But this was because he looked out of place and needed some time to get used to playing the big league. However, in the next three matches, Victor showed everyone why he was the best. He averaged 19.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.8 blocks in all the games.
