Brazilian superstar footballer Neymar Jr. has been making the rounds in Miami. After being spotted at the Miami Open with his close friend, Miami Heat’s Jimmy Butler, the Al Hilal forward dropped by the Golden State Warriors vs. the Miami Heat game at the Kaseya Center in Miami. After the Dub Nation bagged a sweet victory, 113-92, over Miami, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and Santos, among others, were seen meeting and embracing Neymar Jr. That’s not all, though!

In the post-game press conference, after leading his team with 28 points, Klay Thompson was asked if he’s met Neymar before, to which he replied, “Yeah, we met all the way back in 2016, so I’ve known Neymar for a while. Big fan of basketball, we’re all big fans of football so we respect his greatness.

Golden State of Friends: Neymar’s Warriors Connection

Neymar Jr. paid homage to the 4-time champ back in August 2022. After scoring a double for Paris Saint-Germain against Montpellier in Ligue 1, Neymar Jr. busted out Curry’s “night night” celebration, sending social media into an absolute frenzy. It seems these two athletes have a ton of mutual respect.

But even before that, back in June 2022 when the Golden State Warriors brought home the NBA Championship for the 4th time, guess who joined them in their celebrations in Las Vegas? Well, Neymar of course! Klay Thompson and the whole crew headed to the Sin City for a massive celebratory bash. The Paris Saint-Germain (now Al Hilal) and Brazilian star joined them there. Andrew Wiggins, Otto Porter Jr., and Jordan Poole were also a part of the celebration.

Interesting things are on the horizon for Neymar Jr. Rumors about him returning to Barcelona seem to pop up every transfer window since he left. There was even a time in recent years when it looked like a reunion might actually happen, but things fell through. Cut to seven years later, it seems the desire to play for Barcelona still burns bright for Neymar as he’s hinted at a possible return after exiting from Al Hilal.

While Neymar struggles with his club future, the Golden State Warriors are currently battling to secure the 10th seed in the Western Conference and reach the play-in tournament. Maybe Neymar was their lucky charm in their recent win over the Miami Heat. Share your thoughts below!
