Stephen Curry-led Golden State Warriors will be ready for their showdown with the Giannis Antetokounmpo-led Milwaukee Bucks. However, it’s great news for the Warriors as this will mark the first time in a long time that the Dubs will be playing with their full roster with the return of Andrew Wiggins. Warriors’ Andrew Wiggins hasn’t played since their match-up against the Denver Nuggets on February 25th. He missed the team’s last four games, including Wednesday’s home match-up against the Bucks. Despite a challenging start to the season, Wiggins averaged a respectable 15.3 points and 4.8 rebounds with exceptional shooting efficiency (over 50% from both the field and three-point range) in his most recent 9 appearances.

Notably, this absence wasn’t his first due to personal reasons, as he missed the final stretch of last season. While averaging a career-low 12.7 points per game this season, he was even briefly moved to a reserve role, a first in his career, before reclaiming his starting spot in January.

With Wiggins’ return, the Warriors aim to close the gap in the Western Conference standings. They currently sit in 10th place, just four games behind the sixth seed with 22 games remaining.

Home Court Advantage?

This match-up against the Bucks holds extra significance, as the Bucks currently hold a 3-2 season record against the Warriors and haven’t lost since the All-Star break. Additionally, the Bucks boast an impressive defensive run, holding opponents under 100 points in their last four games. This home game against the Bucks marks the first of a three-game homestand for the Warriors, with the Chicago Bulls and San Antonio Spurs following shortly after. They are 16-13 in 29 games on the road, and 16-15 at home.

The Warriors, currently sitting comfortably in 10th place with a 32-28 record. With 22 games remaining, this home game against the Bucks holds major importance. They’ll be looking to capitalize on their home court advantage to keep their playoff hopes alive. The Bucks are out for their 7th consecutive victory after their last win against the Clippers without Giannis.
