After crossing paths as students with Jade Jones at Iowa State University, then-Indiana Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton began dating her in 2019, before the Sacramento Kings even drafted him as the 12th pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. He finished third in Rookie of the Year voting and earned a spot on the NBA All-Rookie First Team.

Currently sitting in 5th place in the Eastern Conference, Haliburton has helped the Pacers get back on track. On February 11th, he made headlines when he “self-ooped” a shot off the backboard to himself before setting up Pascal Siakam for a wide-open three-pointer. The play has been making waves all across.

When his high school retired his jersey, Jones posted a picture of the event with the caption, “I’ll always be your biggest cheerleader.”

All-Star Family Ties

Theirs is a close-knit family, as Haliburton appears to be very close to his parents, who are often seen at his games. Haliburton’s family has a strong athletic background. His cousin, Eddie Jones, was a three-time NBA All-Star, and his other cousin is the Orlando Magic’s Jalen Suggs.
