Why is Andrew Wiggins Struggling? Steve Kerr “Not Concerned” for Ex-All Star’s Poor Start Despite Cavs Loss
The Golden State Warriors have had a pretty good run this year, save for two losses: last night and the season opener. But the same cannot be said for their forward, Andrew Wiggins. After ending last season on a disappointing note due to a rib injury, Andrew was hoping to turn things around this season. But now things don’t seem to be going his way.
The forward has had a slow start to the season. He is averaging just 12.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 0.7 assists while shooting 45.3% from the field and 16.7% from 3-point range in the seven games he played. This is a huge decrease from his overall career performance. While everybody has expressed concern, one person is not too bothered by it.

While speaking to the media, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr shared, “His defense is always so important for us. The better he is defensively, the more offense he will have. I’m not worried about Wiggs at all. He’s got a long track record. He’s been with us for five years now. He knows how we play, you know.”

Kerr assured to help him get there and he is hopeful of him getting to his best soon. The forward has been averaging just 25 minutes in the games he has played so far. But coach Kerr has one hundred percent trust in Andrew’s abilities, having previously noted the fact that Wiggins helped the Warriors win a championship two years ago.
