Sacramento Kings suffer massive blow

Sacramento Kings power forward Keegan Murray was ruled out for the rest of the second half during the Pelicans game due to a lower back injury. He played 16 minutes and scored 5 points and 3 rebounds in the first half, but did not return to the court to finish the game. Apart from Murray, guard Chris Duarte was also ruled out for the remainder of the game after suffering an injury in his left hand during the first half. Those are two massive blows for the Sacramento Kings, who have been haunted by injuries throughout the season.

Several players on the Kings roster are out due to injuries, including Alex Len, Trey Lyles, Keon Ellis, and Sasha Vezenkov. The addition of Murray and Duarte on the injured players’ list will definitely cause more problems to the Kings’ season. Keegan Murray has shown great promise in his sophomore season, averaging 13.9 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.4 steals. And Chris Duarte is also a decent role player for the Kings. The severity of their injury is still unknown, and it is uncertain when they will return to action.

The Sacramento Kings were on a 6-game winning streak before heading into tonight?s game against the New Orleans Pelicans. But their hot streak ended in humiliating fashion as Zion Williamson and Co. blew them out with a 129-93 win. The shorthanded Kings played some of their worst basketball tonight, as none of the players could score more than 16 points. That is a huge letdown, considering they had performed incredibly well prior to this loss.

Meanwhile, Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram took charge and led the Pelicans to a dominant victory. BI led the game in scoring with 31 points, and Zion was not far behind with 26 points of his own. De?Aaron Fox and Co. have played great this season, but a long list of injured players is hindering them from elevating their game to the next level. Hopefully, Keegan Murray and Chris Duarte make a speedy recovery and return to the line-up in the next game.
