Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the biggest superstars in the NBA. When The Greek Freak was drafted 15th in the 2013 NBA draft, no one saw how dominant he would become in the future. After spending 10 seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks and leading them to an NBA championship in 2021, Giannis might be looking for an upgrade. He openly expressed his desire to win another Championship, even if that meant leaving Milwaukee. Leaving the Bucks fans in shock, Giannis put pressure on his team to get better and reach the mountain top for the second time.
After the 2-time MVP’s comments, former NBA Champion Kendrick Perkins took a shot at Giannis’ brother Thanasis Antetokounmpo, wondering what more Giannis wants from the Milwaukee Bucks.

Kendrick Perkins takes a shot at Giannis’ brother
Former NBA Champion turned analyst Kendrick Perkins raised his concerns on NBA Today about Giannis threatening to leave Milwaukee for a better situation, “What do Giannis Antetokounmpo want?” Perkins reminded the fans that Giannis plays with three All-Star caliber players, Khris Middleton, Jrue Holiday, and Brook Lopez. The 7-time All-Star has a lot of help, and his team is still one of the best teams in the NBA.
The NBA Champion also took a shot at Giannis’ brother Thanasis, who plays for the Milwaukee Bucks, “We don’t really know if Giannis wasn’t on the Milwaukee Bucks, if his brother wasn’t on the Milwaukee Bucks, I don’t believe his brother would actually be on the NBA roster.” Thanasis has been on the Bucks main roster for 4 years but has not played any significant minutes in his career. He averages merely 2.7 points in his 4 seasons with the Bucks. Even Giannis’ second brother, Kostas has played in the NBA, winning a championship with the Lakers in 2020. But he was sitting on the bench for most of that time.
Perkins might have a point in his argument as the Bucks have done everything in their power to make their franchise player happy.

Giannis Antetokounmpo’s uncertain Bucks future
While Milwaukee Bucks are eligible to offer Giannis a 3-year $173 million extension this month, the Bucks Forward wants to wait it out and make the decision in the future. “I want to be a winner,” Giannis said in his podcasting debut this week, telling the NBA world that he would leave Milwaukee if they did not have the same goal in mind as him.

If the Bucks want to keep Giannis in Milwaukee for the long run, they need to make an upgrade and return to being a Championship level team this season. They have one future tradable First Round pick that they can leverage to improve their roster and keep The Greek Freak in Milwaukee.
