Well, after a six-game winning streak that made fans think the LA Lakers are back on track, the Los Angeles team now finds themselves in deep trouble after their 27-point loss to the Phoenix Suns in the NBA Cup. This marked their 3rd straight loss after losing to the Magic and the Nuggets. Questions are being raised all around LA as fans are blaming the management including Rob Pelinka and Jeanie Buss for having not enough depth in the roster.

For years now LeBron James and Anthony Davis have been carrying the team on their shoulders and with both now heading toward the end of their saga, the other players on the roster should provide the help needed, if they want to challenge for the title. According to multiple fans, players like D’Angelo Russell, Gabe Vincent, Rui Hachimura, and Jarred Vanderbilt are not fit to be on the Lakers team as they bring no real value to the table.

To put it simply, the Lakers faithful want a majority of the rotation and bench players gone because of their poor performances and injury struggles. Furthermore, their recent performances on the court have even left a few experts scratching their heads. It is as Kendrick Perkins tweeted after D’Angelo Russell’s poor performance: “D’Angelo Russell be trippen. Some of the things he does on the court makes my damn skin crawl.

Even he is unable to comprehend what’s up with the Lakers rotation at the moment. The fans have totally erupted and are demanding strict actions from the management, to be more precise the fans are demanding trades to help revive the Lakers’ title contention and give LeBron and Anthony a fitting last dance.

“Make a damn trade, please” fans urge Lakers management to take some action

The Lakers have been a mixed bag so far this season and their struggles are clearly visible on the court, Tuesday’s defeat was not just due to the lack of effort by the team but also because of the organizational failures of not being able to surround James and Davis with a better roster.

One fan straight up questioned the team’s owners, the Buss family, and Rob Pelinka blaming them for the shortcomings of the teams as they wrote, “These 2 wasted years of LeBron and AD’s careers.” followed with a picture of the owners.

While another fan showed his frustration by naming a bunch of players and stating he did not want these players to represent his favorite team he tweeted, “Players I want off my team by February:” then went on to name the likes of D’Angelo Russell, Gabe Vincent, Rui Hachimura and a few more as these players have not been playing at the level needed to post a title contention.

Furthermore, one follower blamed rookie coach JJ Redick for the recent run of poor results he stated, “The Lakers lost all their momentum when JJ Redick decided to start Rui Hachimura over Dalton Knecht.” As he questioned the Lakers head coach’s decision-making from the sidelines.

On the other hand, some even threw some shade on general manager Pelinka who was seen doing interviews during the team’s winning run but is now nowhere to be seen as he said, “Dude was doing interviews during the winning streak lol, now he won’t show his face.” He further blamed the lack of free agency moves made by Pelinka.

Interestingly, one page on X pointed out a great statistic that showed the Lakers’ record against teams with winning records and against teams with losing records. This could raise a few eyebrows as they are 7-1 against teams with losing while against winning teams they have only one win! and their record is 7-1 which says a lot about the organization.

To conclude, the Lakers faithful are running thin on patience and what moves will Jeanie Buss, Rob Pelinka, and the rest of the Lakers management make remains to be seen. One thing is clear, though. This Lakers’ side does not look like contenders this season so far.
