The Dallas Mavericks went head-to-head against the Oklahoma City Thunder tonight. The Mavs were heavily shorthanded heading into tonight’s game as their superstar, Kyrie Irving, was ruled out due to right foot soreness. Tim Hardaway Jr, Dante Exum, Josh Green, and Maxi Kleber, were also missing the game due to injuries. But World Series Champions Andrew Heaney and Josh Jung hoped that Luka Doncic and Co. could still beat the OKC Thunder.

The two Texas Rangers superstars graced the Mavericks arena as their fellow Texans tried to hold ground against the Thunder.

MLB stars Andrew Heaney and Josh Jung are having fun after leading the Texas Rangers to their first World Series title in franchise history. The two players showed up at the Mavs-Thunder game to support their fellow Texans. The Mavericks, however, could not get the job done and were decimated by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and co. Dallas dug themselves a hole and trailed OKC by 23 points at the end of the third quarter.

Luka Doncic tried to make an epic comeback in the fourth quarter with his historic performance. He led the Mavs to tie the game at 111-111 but failed to finish the comeback as the Thunder eventually won the game 126-120. Luka finished the game with a historic stat line of 36 points, 18 assists, and 15 rebounds. But that was not enough to get Dallas the win.

Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic need each other to win

The Dallas Mavericks missed the presence of Kyrie Irving in tonight’s game. Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic have become one of the most lethal duos in the league in a very short time. They have led Dallas to an amazing start this season. But the two superstars have not been able to lead their team to victory when one of them is missing. In the last game against the Memphis Grizzlies, Kyrie Irving struggled to put points on the board as Luka was ruled out of the game to celebrate the birth of his daughter. And tonight, despite Luka’s dominant performance, Dallas was toppled by the Thunder in Kyrie’s absence.

Dallas’ defense is so weak that they need the firepower of both Luka and Kyrie to keep them afloat. They are ranked 23rd in the league in defense, and their opponents can score on them with no difficulty. Dallas fans are hoping for Kyrie’s quick return so that they can avoid a humiliation like tonight.
