The Golden State Warriors are on a roll. After an initial hiccup in the first match of the season, the team has now recorded four consecutive wins. Their second face-off with the Sacramento Kings last night was a nail-biting last-minute thriller. With excellent plays from Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green, the Warriors were able to record a close 101-102 victory over the Kings.

Both the teams fought extremely hard for the lead, with the Warriors dominating it for the most part. With this loss, Sacramento is at a 2-2. They stand last on the table in the Pacific Division.

Draymond’s words to Klay Thompson

The winning shot was by Klay Thompson, who took the lead with 2 seconds on the clock. As soon as the celebrations erupted from the Warriors’ camp, Draymond was seen saying something to Thompson. 

Later, while talking to the media, the 33-year-old mimicked exactly what Green had screamed, saying, “I’m always looking out for you.” Although he said more, Klay claims it was all a blur and he couldn’t remember the rest.

Kings vs Warriors breakdown

Stephen Curry and his team led the scoreboard from the first quarter. The Kings then took over from the second quarter. This back-and-forth switch between the leads kept fans on their tiptoes, as no one could tell who would win in the end. In the end, the Warriors sustained and took home their fourth victory of the season.

Curry put up the most points for the Warriors with 21 points and five rebounds. Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins both put up 14 points with two rebounds each. For the Kings, Domantas Sabonis led with 23 points, 11 rebounds, and 8 assists.
