In the podcast KG Certified with Kevin Garnett, a Houston Rockets legend stunned fans by declaring Stephen Curry as one of the NBA’s best sharpshooters. While Curry’s meteoric rise to greatness has captivated basketball fans worldwide, the legend’s passionate praise took it to a whole new level.

The legend stated that without a doubt Curry is already among the greats. He added by talking about Curry’s magical display in the 2021-22 season, which solidified his place as the second-greatest point guard of all time, trailing the legendary Magic Johnson.

The guest on KG Certified this time was the Rockets legend Sam Cassell. He played for eight different teams during his 15-year career and often made clutch baskets late in the fourth quarter to help his team win games. The 3-time NBA Champion is currently the assistant coach at the Boston Celtics. Of the 2008 Championship team, Kevin Garnett and Sam Cassell were considered among the real ‘Big 3’ of the Boston Celtics.

“Steph Curry showed me so much this year,” Cassell admiringly reminisced about the Golden State Warriors star’s inspiring performances. Cassell then said, “He’s second now. That’s my opinion. He’s second behind Magic as the Point God. He’s that damn good.”

Cassell also highlighted during the podcast that, “He can pass it, he can shoot it, he can shoot the mid-range, he got layups, he got floaters, he’s stronger now,” portraying the all-rounding abilities of Curry.

Curry’s impact on the game is undeniable. The 34-year-old has surpassed the boundaries of shooting, earning the title of the greatest shooter in NBA history.
