The NBA world is often caught in the LeBron James-Michael Jordan GOAT debate. With both greats contributing during different eras, fans can seldom agree on one name. Ultimately, the conversation ends up becoming a never-ending debate.

While some want James to win more titles, some think he has done enough by playing till 37.

However, a recently edited video shared online has enraged Jordan fans. The clip is edited and shows an incorrect missed shot by the Chicago Bulls legend. In reality, Jordan made the shot and celebrated.

Why were Michael Jordan fans enraged?

While the edited video itself was enough to anger fans, some James fans had them angrier. Many James fans mentioned his name in the comments, comparing the two GOATs. As a result, Jordan fans concluded that this is another trick to downplay Jordan’s greatness.

While some James fans defended his form, many were confused about him being mentioned time and again. A small portion of viewers actually believed the clip, even commenting on the missed shot completely. Of course, Jordan fans were quick to debunk them, sharing proper videos of the original clips.

It is also a video from 1989, which was before Jordan and the Bulls won a title.

Do Jordan’s titles make him the GOAT?

That being said, one video or stat will never be enough to choose one basketball GOAT. While many argue about Jordan’s six NBA titles, fans also focus on James’ consistency over the years. Even though he has changed teams multiple times, the Akron native has performed at a high level since his debut (2003). Now 37, James was still leading the LA Lakers.

However, one cannot look past Jordan’s performances. Even with the Washington Wizards, Jordan scored over 20 points per game. The highlight, without a doubt, are his two three-peats. While Jordan was on the team, the Bulls dominated for years, and no one was able to dethrone them.

Ultimately, one has to admit that the eras, supporting players and other factors certainly come into play. Even though James is yet to win another title, his longevity has to be applauded. In the end, both players have heavily influenced the NBA.
