Shaquille O’Neal, one of the most dominant players ever on the hardwood floor, wasn’t all about basketball. The Los Angeles Lakers legend had varied interests from the start and people loved him for it. All of these varied interests led him to a certain path, which was a little bit closer to his heart. Shaq went on to become a police officer in 2005 because of his deep love for the uniform. But recently, even his police badge couldn’t save him from a Houston officer on duty.

Shaq recently received a speeding ticket in Houston from an officer from Houston PD. The big man made the officer record it on camera to make a hilarious intro for NBA on TNT.

Shaquille O’Neal was caught red-handed while speeding in Houston

Shaq was probably out in Houston for some personal work before he was stopped by the cops. In a hilarious video, all was revealed as the police officer in question decided to shoot an intro for NBA on TNT.

I’m officer Miles from Houston PD, I just pulled Shaquille O’Neal for speeding down here in Texas. You’re watching NBA on TNT” said the Police officer, while Shaq was grinning ear-to-ear standing right beside him.

Shaq’s police badge was genuinely of no use at this point as he was already given the speeding ticket. However, Shaq seemed less than sad about his ticket as he converted it into an opportunity to make a great intro clip for his TV show.

The Big man also has great respect for the uniform, the reason he decided to become a police officer in the later part of his career. Shaq was sworn in as a reserve officer with Miami Beach PD, and there’s a very moving story behind it.
