Michael Jordan has always had an intimidating aura and personality. He has always been dominant on and off the court. Moreover, he has always been opinionated and this time he had strong opinions about the man in tremendous form, Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Antetokounmpo has been a sensation this season. Winning the MVP for two consecutive years in 2019, 2020, and winning the NBA championship along with the finals MVP last season, Giannis has been tremendous this season as well. The Greek Freak has been on top of his game and has his eyes set on the MVP award.

The Bucks are flying high, and Giannis deserves most of the credit. He has displayed quality, consistency, and form in every aspect of the game. Only Nikola Jokic and Joel Embiid have come close.

The three best players this season are in the MVP race. However, one of the greatest ever to do it strongly thinks that Giannis deserves to win the MVP this year.

Stephen A. Smith reveals the defensive stance of Michael Jordan towards Giannis Antetokounmpo

NBA analyst and commentator of ESPN, Stephen A. Smith, revealed that Michael Jordan thinks Giannis should win the MVP this year. He also revealed that it was not a conversation of simple opinion. Moreover, Chris said that Michael Jordan disagreed with him and backed Giannis to win this year’s MVP.

“There’s another Hall of Famer who’s one of the great players that ever played this game. That has similar initials to yours (Magic Johnson). That text me yesterday [and] was talking about, I’m wrong. Be it on First Take though. I mean, he just calls and cusses me out. But that’s okay, that’s okay, all right. We won’t, we’ll remain nameless.”

One can make a case for many players to win, from the top ten in the MVP race. That’s how high the level of basketball has been this season. However, the top three still remain to be Nikola Jokic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and Joel Embiid (in that order).

It has been a three-horse race for months now, with only these three consisting of the top three replacing one another. It is going to be an exhilarating and exciting end of the season and we are here for it!
