The Denver Nuggets are on the cusp of history. 56 years after its inception, the team is finally on the precipice of its first NBA championship. While most have recognized the unreal talent of Nikola Jokic, this run might cement him in the history books. With some analysts calling him the potential greatest center of all time, a championship would certainly make Jokic the greatest Nugget of all time. To achieve the feat against long-standing rivals, the Miami Heat might just be the icing on the cake. And two men with a lot of history against the organization are Nikola Jokic’s brothers, Strahinja and Nemanja.

While the Nuggets defeated the Heat to gain a commanding 3-1 lead, it was the Jokic brothers that caught the fans’ eyes. However, it was not due to jawing with fans.

Nikola Jokic shares a tumultuous relationship with Miami. And as a result, so do his brothers. The whole rivalry started on the back of a regular season game between the Nuggets and the Heat. In 2021, the two teams were in the fourth quarter of a blowout victory for the Nuggets. As Jokic was bringing the ball up the court, Markieff Morris committed a hard take foul on him.

Not too pleased, Jokic immediately hit Morris in the back, shoving him to the ground. Morris tried to get up but couldn’t and was helped off by the Heat’s medical staff. Furthermore, the two teams got into a verbal altercation at half-court. While the injury seemed relatively innocuous at the time, Morris was out for 58 games due to whiplash. Jimmy Butler was particularly heated and kept shouting at the Nuggets bench.

While Jokic regretted his actions and took responsibility for a bad play, it was the brothers of the two players who got into a heated argument. First, Markieff’s brother, Marcus, tweeted out, “Waited till bro turned his back smh. NOTED“. The Jokic brothers, in response, created a Twitter account to threaten the Clippers forward.

You should leave this the way it is instead of publicly threatening our brother! Your brother made a dirty play first. If you want to make a step further be sure we will be waiting for you!!” The Jokic brothers have been seen at various Denver Nuggets games, and they especially like to jaw back and forth with fans.

However, the two brothers finally made peace with the Heat fans, leaving Twitter looking on.

The Jokic brothers make amends with Miami fans

The Jokic brothers were seen clicking photos with a few Miami fans in the arena as the Nuggets steamrolled the Heat. Fans were quick to point out how the two had finally shifted gears.

Some fans found their all-business attitude hilarious.

One fan was quick to point out the two’s intimidating build.

One fan tweeted, “He looks like a mad thumb.”
