Andre Agassi was an American tennis star. The former World number 1 won eight major titles in his reign. Moreover, Agassi is also the second of five men to achieve a career Grand Slam. As one of the best players of his time, Jordan chose his sneaker to make his infamous ‘I’m back’ return in 1995.

Michael Jordan takes Agassi’s help

Agassi played a huge part in making tennis sneakers big in the market. Nike gave him the crown back in the 90s, as was the spearhead of the sport. And the Air Challenge LWPs were his signature shoe. What made it more famous is the shoe was co-signed by Michael Jordan. Taking a helping hand from the Tennis giant, Jordan came rolling in his Corvette. Even the basketball fans started to buy the shoe after Jordan’s iconic way back.

After his stint in baseball, the Chicago red just called him back. So in 1995, MJ found the perfect way to announce his return to the NBA. All it took was two words, ‘I’m back’. These two words were enough to send shock waves around the entire league. The happiest were the Chicago Bulls, who were getting the best player in the world to suit up for them. Likewise, his return to the hardwood was big for both himself as well as the franchise.
