Ayesha Curry has supported him every step of the way in the pursuit of his dreams while taking care of their loving family. However, it was not easy for the four-time NBA champ to express his love for Ayesha for the first time. 

Steph and Ayesha have known each other since 2003 when they were just teenagers. However, the duo did not start dating until 2008, when they reconnected. Ayesha started to develop affection for Steph as the duo started hanging out more often. During a recent interview with People magazine, Ayesha Curry revealed some romantic moments between her and Stephen Curry.

Ayesha was deeply attracted to the guy Stephen had become. She was the first one to express her love to Stephen in 2008. However, Steph hesitated a bit from repeating the same three words to Ayesha. Stephen Curry said, “I feel like I love you too, but I don’t want to say it unless I’m sure because I just want to be sure that when I say it, I really mean it.”

Unfortunately, Ayesha did not take Steph’s response well. The famous cookbook author was devastated, and she got in her car and drove home crying. Despite a small heartbreak, Ayesha continued seeing Steph, and the moment she had been waiting for came a few months later.

Stephen finally reciprocates his love for Ayesha

 Steph and Ayesha went out for a movie with their parents and siblings. Curry wanted to make the moment quite memorable. So, he leaned toward Ayesha’s ears and whispered, ‘I love you.’

Ayesha was very excited when she finally heard that. The 33-year-old tried to sit and watch the movie, but she was freaking out. Ayesha Curry added, “It was so special because I knew he meant it.”
