The Chicago Bulls were a lottery team in the early 1980s. However, in 1984, history was about to change forever, when Michael Jordan made his way from North Carolina. Jordan soon became one of the all-time greats of the game, taking over a complete era, and the city of Chicago changed forever.

The NBA was dominated by Magic Johnson and Larry Bird, an era that had run in the league for many years. The Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers heading the show. However, as His Airness came in, he announced himself. There even came a time he told the arch-rivals he is the new ‘Sheriff’.

While the Bulls had no idea of the power in their hand, they put their faith in MJ. Likewise, a 7-year, $6.3 million came into the works. And NBA fans run wild remembering the iconic day in basketball history.

The entry of Michael Jordan

With the third pick in the draft, Jordan began his journey to become a legend. In his seven-year multi-year deal, Chicago Bulls had brought themselves six championships for the future. From there, he instantly made the franchise become postseason contenders. Becoming one of the most elite scorers in NBA in his very first season, it would soon become an era.

Chicago had found the gem of the generation. Michael Jordan led the NBA in total points. Announcing his scoring supremacy, Black Jesus averaged 28 points. Likewise, the five-time MVP won the Rookie of The Year award. Changing the entire culture of the city, Jordan assumed the role of a leader.

However, it wasn’t until the last year of his contract that Jordan conquered his first championship. In 1991, after becoming the undisputed best player on the planet, the Chicago Bulls kickstarted their dynasty. One championship run was enough to turn His Airness into one of the most fierce winners. Michael Jordan went on to lead the Bulls to another five championships. Winning 10 scoring titles and a DPOY, Jordan solidified himself as a certified winner.
