The 2019 Draft class has quickly gone from most promising to cursed. Whether it is Ja Morant flaunting a gun or regression from every major draft pick, the year hasn’t been kind. Yet, it seems like the worst is still to come. After Morant’s suspension, it seems that fate has finally caught up with the number 1 pick, Zion Williamson. While injuries have derailed him, he’s been phenomenal on the court. However, controversy first broke through as Zion was enjoying a heartwarming moment.

Fans have continued to support and hope for the best, but things seem to be getting bleaker by the day. Now, what outrageous demand made fans mad?

The Zion Williamson s*xtape controversy

As Zion was enjoying a heartwarming reception to the announcement of a baby daughter with girlfriend Ahkeema, the controversy began. A day after the announcement, an adult film star accused the 22YO of cheating on her.

In a series of tweets since then, Moriah Mills called out the Duke prodigy. Claiming that the two were in a relationship, she even revealed that Zion planned on relocating her to New Orleans. In a series of graphic tweets since then, Mills has continued attacking Zion and his girlfriend.

However, now she’s taking things one step further. The star previously alleged that Zion had videos of them engaging in se*ual activities. Now, she’s threatening to release the alleged s*xtapes of her and Zion if the star isn’t traded from the Pelicans.

With Zion having played in just over 100 games in his first 4 years, his value is already at an all-time low. These off-court complications certainly won’t help. As notable NBA figure Bill Simmons claimed, Williamson will not be on the Pelicans come draft day. While New Orleans may decide to move on from their prized star, fans were understandably upset about Moriah’s ‘blackmail’.

Fans react to the demand

Fans were quick to question the legality of the move by Mills. “Wait isn?t this blackmail? Couldn?t she get arrested just for tweeting that?”?Another fan had similar thoughts saying, “aint that illegal?”?With the Bradley Beal trade already completed, and a potential move of multiple other all-stars, the addition of Zion Williamson has made the list all the more enticing. Fans agreed as they cheered, “This will be the greatest off-season in NBA history.”?

Another fan shared the illegality aspect of the entire deal, going so far as to call the demands extortion. “Lmao this damn near the textbook definition of extortion.”?
