The six-time champion turned?Nike into a mega-brand and completely revolutionized the sneaker industry with his shoe line Air Jordan.?Speaking of his sneakers, a few weeks back a luxury broker, Sotheby’s put its rare Air Jordan shoe collection up for auction.

According to Jordan Geller, the owner of the world’s first sneaker museum, ShowZeum, the luxury broker is going to pocket around $100 million if those shoes get sold.

Fans have always spent a plethora of money to get their hands on these kinds of iconic sneakers over the years. Therefore, these rare Air Jordans are probably gone by the time of writing this. Meanwhile, Nike?is soon going to launch a new Jordan sneaker that combines elements from the 14x All-Star’s first three-peat.

Nike celebrates the first Michael Jordan three peat

Jordan was phenomenal when the Chicago Bulls won the coveted gold trophy for three consecutive years for the first time. The six-time champion displayed his flair during the postseason of 1991,1992, and 1993 wearing Air Jordan 6, Air Jordan 7, and Air Jordan 8 respectively. Nike, therefore, decided to create Jordan MVP 678 sneakers to celebrate the sneakers worn by him in the aforementioned years’ playoffs.

The photo below revealed how the Jordan MVP 678 sneakers would look. The midsole and upper portion of the sneakers replicates the Air Jordan 6. The tongue of the shoes reminds us of the Air Jordan 7. And the colorful overlay on the side, above the midsole just before the back heel represents the Air Jordan 8. The sneakers would be black in color with red and purple highlights.

Over the years, the Jumpman has tried to create a lot of these types of hybrid silhouettes. They are made by taking inspiration from several other models. Till now, these hybrid sneakers weren’t well-received by fans but they still try to bring something new every year. Like every year, sneakerheads could expect a new Jordan hybrid model this year too.

However, only time will tell if these sneakers will be favored by people across the sneaker world. As of now, fans would have to make do just by seeing the photos of the gorgeous sneakers as it is unknown when they will be available online or hit select retailers.
