These two legends have proved their generational talent during their respective eras, but the fans don’t seem to hold back. Diehard fans come up with various analogies to defend their idols in the GOAT debate. However, recent news involving the Los Angeles Lakers superstar left Jordan fans in utter disbelief. They flooded the Twitter comments to defend the Chicago Bulls legend’s fading legacy.

The Akron Hammer stirred up the NBA world last week with his monumental achievement of becoming the all-time scoring Champion. He surpassed the Lakers legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s 38-year-old record by scoring 38,388 points in his 20-season-long career. Various sporting legends and celebrities worldwide, including MJ, poured in appreciation for King James. However, MJ fans feared that James’ magnificent feat would overshadow the great Air Jordan legacy.

A recent survey conducted by BETONLINE.AG using geo-tagged Twitter data revealed an answer for the long-standing GOAT debate. According to the study, LeBron James won the battle with his popularity across various states in the US. Betonline.ag conducted the study after James’ scoring record. King James gained popularity in most states after his all-time scoring record.

Moreover, veteran NBA analyst Stephen A. Smith’s MJ analogy triggered hilarious responses from fans.
