Dennis Rodman is a basketball genre by itself. His claim to fame was underpinned by his career in professional basketball. Through his active years, his dating life was also magnified. His style and eccentricities announced the man’s arrival into a room. Even post his retirement, Rodman has not seen his fame die. His former agent, Dwight Manley, once claimed Rodman could still make a lot of money even after retiring. Manley was also not a typical sports agent.

He was a renowned coin collector. But Rodman wanted Manley to represent him. They had first met in the early 1990s and established a good friendship and trust. In 2003, Manley told The New York Times that Rodman still thrived.

He said, “Dennis could earn $200,000 a year just being Dennis Rodman“. The NBA legend’s stories have such a cinematic flair that there was talk about a show that could shed light on his anecdotes.

Manley also said, “I found things that made him money off the court“.

Dennis Rodman was truly one of a kind

The former agent heaped praises on Dennis Rodman and believed that it was an art to watch him play. He said that Rodman did things that were the precedent for many stats. He claimed he was yet to see anybody else do what the Chicago Bulls legend pulled off.

Rodman also made appearances on several shows and podcasts. He has many memoirs to his name as well. He is an active investor and has an enviable portfolio. His net worth is valued at $500,000.

In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Dennis Rodman echoed Manley’s statement about his fame. He said that among the world’s top 5 famous people, he would feature in with God, Jesus, Muhammed Ali, and Barack Obama. Here was a guy who was so unapologetic about his fame. He was someone who knew every corner of the brand he had built.

Rodman was as flamboyant on the court and off it. His tattoos, piercings, and cross-dressing made his unique personality. He was widely considered to be the league’s most controversial star. The Worm became 7x NBA rebounding champion. He has five championships as well.

Rodman’s influence knows no length and breadth. The former basketball player recently announced that he would go to Russia to seek Brittney Griner’s release. However, he later retracted.
