Dennis Rodman was known for his defense and rebounding skills. The Worm was a tenacious rebounder. In addition, he also had the ability to shut down a player on any given night. He just knew how to put the clamps on someone. And it seemed as if nothing ever fazed him from his game. Defensive juggernaut ‘The Glove’ Gary Payton too admitted the fact that Rodman could make a player go cold with his defense.

Rodman won seven consecutive rebounding titles during his playing days. Chicago Bulls head coach Phil Jackson had faith in him to get the job done, along with Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. So for Rodman to go on a shooting spree, is more than likely to catch anyone off guard.

In a 1998 game against the Milwaukee Bucks, Dennis Rodman decided to fire up the crowd with his shooting. A player whose responsibility was mostly to rebound and defend, ended up lighting the defense on fire that night.

The game was already out of reach and Chicago had a sizeable lead. But Rodman had other plans in mind. With the final minutes of the game unwinding, he decided to hoist up two three-pointers and drain both of them. Though Rodman drained three consecutive three-pointers, the last one did not count as he had stepped out of bounds.

But regardless, that was more than enough to get the crowd up from their seats. Even his teammates loved his shooting spree. Rodman, who ended his career only shooting 23% from beyond the arc, really had fans and teammates going crazy.

Rodman was not all defense apparently

Though Rodman did not often contribute much on offense, he made up for it on the defensive side of the floor. And being an undersized power forward, his rebounding skills were remarkable. Rodman once ended the game with zero points and 21 rebounds against the Phoenix Suns.

In the game that led to Rodman’s incredible shooting spree, Ray Allen missed a wide-open three-pointer which led to Rodman’s consecutive threes. In that game, everyone was guaranteed a free taco if Rodman made a three. And Rodman ended up draining three consecutive shots for the team.

Even if the last one wasn’t counted, Rodman was quite ecstatic and so was the crowd.
