Over the years, NBA legend Dennis Rodman has been successful in grabbing the attention of fans with his eccentric lifestyle. He remained relevant in the media and in public life even after his retirement with the plethora of bizarre activities that he performed regularly. Many people found his wild and eccentric lifestyle a bit weird. They even called the Chicago Bulls legend ‘crazy’ for living such a life. However, a three-time NBA champion had something different to say about the Worm lately. Fans might be surprised a little after hearing this Los Angeles Lakers legend’s astonishing take on Dennis the Menace.

The three-time champion, who also played for the Lakers, is none other than Byron Scott. Scott shared the court with Dennis Rodman a number of times. He admittedly spent time with the five-time NBA champion off-court as well. During those encounters, Scott had a surprising realization about the mental make-up of Rodman which may surprise a lot of people in the NBA community.

Byron Scott called Dennis Rodman an extremely intelligent person

In a recent episode of  ‘The Byron Scott Podcast’, the Lakers legend made a shocking admission about the psyche of Dennis Rodman. Scott started off by saying that he has done a lot of events with Dennis the Menace and therefore knows him quite well. He implied that a lot of people don’t understand a specific thing about the Worm. Scott delved deeper and explained, “A lot of his sh*t that he did back in the day was very thought out…pre-planned calculated.” 

“Dennis is extremely intelligent person. Marrying himself, doing the sh*t with Madonna, all that sh*t, people were like ‘Oh, that boy crazy!’ No Dennis wasn’t crazy. Dennis is very smart, I sit there & talked to Dennis for 2 hours while we signing sh*t and I was like, this boy ain’t crazy! This boy is smart as hell!” he added.

The veteran hooper concluded his answer by saying that he himself couldn’t even think of all the things that the Worm did in his life. And therefore, he had immense respect and love for Rodman. Scott proceeded to completely dispel the narrative that Dennis Rodman is ‘crazy’ or naive. On the contrary, he is pretty shrewd and calculated in his ventures, according to the 61-year-old.
