The Los Angeles Lakers started the season with a bit of a struggle and they are currently languishing at the 12th position in the Western Conference with a disappointing record of 11-16. Therefore, to strengthen their position the biggest need for them at the moment is a player who could shoot and defend simultaneously. In this context, the California side is currently looking forward to some potential targets. They have several names to look out for. However, it seems like LeBron James’s ex-teammate, with whom he once had beef, could end up in Los Angeles to strengthen the roster.

LeBron James and Anthony Davis have been performing well for the Lakers. But they have still not managed to shake off last season’s poor showing. However, this new addition might help them significantly.

LeBron James and Jae Crowder could be in the same team despite beef

The speculated player is none other than Phoenix Suns forward, Jae Crowder. Crowder had asked for a move this summer after getting to know that he won’t be getting any game time for the Suns this season. He is probably ready to part ways with them.

Initially, Crowder was linked up with the Milwaukee Bucks and the Miami Heat. However, Bleacher Report reporter, Eric Pincus unveiled the link between Crowder and the Lakers in the latest edition of their trade intel roundup.

The reporter said that the Suns were close to sending Crowder to the Bucks with a three-way deal with the Rockets. In addition to that, he added that the Warriors have also joined in the race but has nothing come out of it. He finished off by saying, “Other teams believed to be interested include the Heat, Hawks and Lakers.”

But it found expression recently in the 2020 NBA Finals and the 2021 playoffs series between the Lakers and the Suns.
