Drafted by the Phoenix Suns in 2015, Devin Booker has taken over the NBA as one of the league’s brightest stars. After making some noise in his rookie season, Booker would catch the attention of many when he dropped 70 points against the Boston Celtics in his sophomore year. Although the Suns lost that game, they immediately realized his potential. Since then, Booker and the Suns have never looked back. In fact, after years of struggle, the franchise made it to the 2021 NBA finals.

Much of the Suns’ recent success can be owed to the partnership between Booker and Chris Paul. The key reasons for this success is due to Paul’s playmaking and Booker’s scoring. In turn, the wins have garnered plenty of media attention on the team. But for Booker, there seems to be extra attention coming from a non-basketball perspective. This is because of his secret relationship with Kendall Jenner.

In an interview with ‘WSJ MAGAZINE’, Booker answered a question regarding how ‘hard’ it is to be in the limelight in terms of his profession and his relationship.

“I wouldn’t say hard. Honestly, I’m enjoying life to the fullest, and that came off my tongue so easily because it wasn’t always this way,” said Booker.

“I feel like I’m in a good place right now. I love my family, I love the people around me, and I love the impact that I get to have on this world,” he explained.

Clearly, it appears as though Booker does not seem to have any difficulty in dealing with the spotlight on his basketball career and his relationship with Kendall Jenner. However, the couple is still keen on keeping their relationship a secret. But whatever media attention has fallen on Booker regarding his relationship, it is evident that he is in a ‘good place.’

Over the last two years especially, Devin Booker and his Phoenix Suns have enjoyed plenty of success. When the franchise added Chris Paul into the mix, the team’s standing rose to the top. Today they sit first in the Western Conference standings and have a great chance to be champions.

Players like Cameron Payne and Cameron Johnson have given the team much-needed scoring and playmaking off the bench.

Moreover, there seems to be a certain harmony in the squad. As they continue to climb, the Suns will hope to win the title with the roster, giving it their all. From Booker’s perspective, he just has to continue to ‘Be Legendary’ like Kobe Bryant inspired him to be.
