Drake Pays Tribute to Giannis Antetokounmpo in His Latest Album ‘Certified Lover Boy’

Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo is amongst the higher talks of the NBA, especially after winning the 2021 championship. And amongst Giannis’ record-breaking achievements, he has another star in his resume after popular rapper Drake paid tribute to him in his recent song.

Drake, who holds several Billboard chart records, released his recent album named ‘Certified Lover Boy’. It’s a 21-track album that dropped today after its delayed release from 2020. And this time, Drake mentioned the Greek Freak in his lyrics.

In one of the songs, ‘7am on Bridle Path’, Drake says, “Don’t move like a puto. Could at least keep it a buck like Antetokounmpo.” The title of this 4-minute track refers to Drake’s address. And just like that, Giannis Antetokounmpo has made his debut in the Canadian rapper’s album.

Antetokounmpo, the 26-YO Bucks forward, also collaborated with Drake in Certified Lover Boy’s Nike-tee merchandise. The fans went frenzy with the release of this much-awaited album. And now NBA’s recent champion has also partnered in this bonanza.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and his dream season

Milwaukee Bucks had a phenomenal championship season this year. With Antetokounmpo’s dominance, the Bucks made a hefty comeback against Phoenix Suns in the Finals. They eventually won the series in Game 6 with a 4-2 score.

The Greek Freak was on a mission against the dynamic Chris Paul-Devin Booker duo. He averaged more than 30 points and 12.8 rebounds during the 2021 postseason and earned the Finals MVP award. It was a dream season for Giannis and since then he’s being compared to the NBA all-times that adds to his accomplishments.
