Draymond Green Reveals Frustration With People Comparing “Tall Skinny Guys” to Kevin Durant: “Absolute Worst Thing..”

Kevin Durant is one of the game’s finest and most unguardable scorers. Throughout his career, the Washington native has been known for his unrivaled ability to score with ease. The Brooklyn Nets ace is dubbed a human sniper by many.
Durant has been using his roughly 7’5″ wingspan and dynamic scoring ability to dominate games for 15 years. He can easily turn on the jets and score in the paint against traffic, convert a buffet of mid-range jumpers, and produce triples. He can do it all: step-backs, one-hand runners, fadeaways, floaters, and brutal. His slender and tall stature is deceiving, though, as ordinary people of that size and length are not supposed to move the way KD does.
Everyone is not Kevin Durant though, is what Draymond Green meant when he talked about tall-skinny guys being compared to Durant.

Draymond Green expressed his displeasure with tall and skinny guys being compared to Kevin Durant.
“When Kevon Looney was coming out of high school, people were comparing him to Kevin Durant. Now, I always get mad when people just compare tall, skinny guys to Kevin Durant because that’s what everyone wants to do,” Green said.

“They look at a physique, they say ‘Oh, man! That guy’s tall and skinny, he can handle the ball… Boom! That’s Kevin Durant!’ And I think it is the absolute worst thing that people can do in basketball. Like, you don’t just compare people to Kevin Durant because of stature because the reality is, Kevin Durant is arguably the most talented and skilled basketball player that we’ve ever seen in NBA history,” Green added.
He then went on to say, “We have not seen someone 7 feet, dribbles the ball like a point guard, shoots the ball like a two-guard, post-up like a 3 and 4, and can protect the rim like a 5. We’ve never seen this before. It’s like if you went into a lab and they say ‘Hey you can create a player,’ you’re going to create a player that’s Kevin Durant. You’re going to create a guy that’s 6’10” to 7 feet, somewhere in there, that can dribble, shoot, pass. That’s what you’re going to create on NBA 2K. I used to do it as a kid, it was Kevin Durant.”
Historic night for @KDTrey5.

As seen above, Draymond Green lavished praise on Kevin Durant’s talents. The two played together for 3 seasons and reached the NBA Finals in all three seasons, winning in 2017 and 2018. Tragically for Golden State, they lost the 2019 NBA Finals against the Raptors as KD suffered an Achilles injury.
KD was made in a lab
Kevin Durant boasts abilities that have never been seen at his stature previously. Many people, though, despise Durant for signing with the Warriors back in 2016. Nonetheless, those who consider themselves true basketball fans cannot overlook his offensive talent.
Kevin Durant Hits Back at Draymond Green’s Statement in Favor of Warriors Teammate Stephen Curry
He is about 7 feet tall and plays the game of a premier guard. His height distinguishes him from previous NBA greats, as does his talent, which distinguishes him from other towering players in the league. Durant’s game is built on elegance rather than brute force, which is unusual for a player his length.
KD is a competent defender and shot-blocker as well for his height. Despite the fact that his ACL injury has limited his lateral movement, the Nets’ forward is still capable of shutting down most offensive players.

He boasts a very distinct and overpowering set of skills; therefore, comparing tall-skinny guys to Durant is unfair.
