Earlier this week, the Los Angeles Lakers failed to land Kyrie Irving in LA as the Dallas Mavericks acquired him from the Brooklyn Nets at a high cost. In light of this, recently, LeBron James expressed his disappointment in an interview on national TV. However, surprisingly, following his interview, King James drew some flak from Russell Westbrook‘s brother, Ray Westbrook. This in turn prompted NBA fans to flood social media with some strong opinions of their own.

Ray’s remarks soon started circulating on the internet and eventually elicited the attention of the fans. Fans couldn’t resist and reflected on the affair on social media by relaying some not so kind words for the Lakers superstar’s brother.
Ray Westbrook’s sarcastic comment about LeBron James
Russell Westbrook has been involved in a number of trade rumors for the Lakers this year. In the initially proposed deals, he was supposed to get traded to the Nets in exchange for Kyrie Irving if the deal went through. However, nothing went as planned and the Ankletaker ended up joining the Mavs. Meanwhile, in a recent interview with ESPN, James expressed his disappointment over the trade fiasco, which clearly indicated that he wanted Russ traded. Therefore, in response, Ray made some sarcastic comments about LeBron James.
Yeah.. I think Westbrook is getting traded lol
For anyone wondering how disrespected the Westbrook family feels from LeBron’s interview and tweets (including Phil Handy’s) this past week. This doesn’t directly mean how Russ feels — but a general sense of how those around him feel. fwiw — I don’t blame them at all lol
In other words, the 2017 MVP’s brother seemingly didn’t like the statements of the four-time champion. He was certainly unhappy with James publicly insinuating that he’d have no issues with the triple-double machine getting traded.
Fans chimed in on Ray’s remarks about King James
Meanwhile, shortly after Ray passed the remarks, NBA fans entered into the scene. They took to Twitter to express their thoughts and opinions on the matter. Most fans supported the 19-time All-Star and inferred that the Westbrook camp was being too dramatic. On the other hand, some stood beside Russ and his brother.
Here are some of the reactions of the fans:
god get russ of my team. dude is a cry baby
Lebron knows russel is gonna traded this deadline thats why. And man russ was given oppurtunities but turnovers is part of his blood
@whynotraywest nah what’s wild is your brother hitting nothing but backboard 17 times a game when he takes 18 shots. What wild is this bum clearly sees they are leaving him wide open and he still air balls the shot. He’s never been a winning player to the degree of a championship
Your brother just ain’t it

According to a recent report from Doc Louallen, the Lakers are in talks for a 3-team trade deal with the Detroit Pistons and the Philadelphia 76ers to land Tobias Harris and Furkan Korkmaz.
