Denver Nuggets centerpiece Nikola Jokic created history during a 122-109 win over the Los Angeles Lakers last night. The Nuggets center became the first player to chalk up a record that has not been touched by anyone since the league started back in 1946. Naturally, this news soon broke the internet and caught the attention of many NBA fans. They flooded social media with their reactions after being astounded by the news.

Jokic was on fire yesterday against the Lakers. Last night, the four-time All-Star became the third player in history to record multiple triple-doubles along with 100% shooting. With his help, the Nuggets were able to halt the Lakers’ train and retain their number one position in the league.

However, apart from that, the two-time MVP became the first player in history to score 10+ points, 10+ rebounds, and 15+ assists along with 100% shooting. The Joker finished the game with 14 points, 11 rebounds, and 16 assists. NBA fans went crazy on Twitter after the recent feat added to the boatload of accolades the Serbian hooper has been racking up over the past few seasons.

While many fans hailed him for yet another MVP award this season, others were quick to point out that the Joker only took five shots at the target. So the 100% shooting part is actually not as impressive as it looks on paper.

Meanwhile, Jokic is at his best this season. The four-time All-Star has been putting up some amazing performances this whole season. He is currently averaging around 25.3 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 9.7 assists. Surprisingly, in his last five games, the 27-year-old has either reached or broken the 50% field goal shooting plateau. If the two-time MVP continues performing like this then he could very well bag his third MVP trophy, especially with the Denver Nuggets holding the best record in the league.
