The name Dwyane Wade resonates a lot with Miami Heat fans. While playing for the Heat, Wade helped the franchise win its only titles in 2006, 2012, and 2013. Furthermore, his contributions to the Heat organization led them to retire the number 3 jersey that he wore during his time in Miami.
Despite finally retiring as a Miami Heat player in 2019, ‘The Flash’ would earn the opportunity to play for his hometown team Chicago Bulls in the 2016-17 season. So it’s quite right to say that Wade does know a thing or two about playing for the Bulls.

Using this understanding, Wade spoke about Bulls’ rookie Ayo Dosunmu to the ‘NBA on TNT’ crew. He gave credit to the rookie for his performances this season and compared him to Kawhi Leonard and Jimmy Butler.

Dwyane Wade speaks on Ayo Dosunmu
The TNT crew announced the roster for the NBA Rising Stars game as part of the upcoming All-Star weekend in Cleveland. It was during this event that Wade spoke about Ayo Dosunmu after the rookie was included as a part of the rookie backcourt roster for the Rising Stars game.
Dwyane Wade started off by speaking about how Ayo Dosunmu was drafted as a low pick and hence got the opportunity to play for his hometown Chicago. Thereafter, Wade explained how the rookie was good at the game.

“He can come in right away, he can take charges, he can defend the other team’s best player. Some nights you see him scoring in the 20s. Like this kid right here is one of those guys like a Kawhi Leonard. Like you got somebody that’s like a diamond in the rough,” said Wade comparing the rookie to Kawhi Leonard.
“And if you continue to add to his game, he can be a feature guy like Jimmy Butler once became,” explained Wade on the future potential of Dosunmu.

Clearly, the Bulls have a bright young star on their hands. With an already talented roster, Dosunmu can be a force off the bench, while also learning from the team’s vets. This is the perfect opportunity for Dosunmu to blossom into a solid player. There is huge potential for the rookie, especially when a star like Wade says so.
