After denying every link to the Philadelphia 76ers, Ben Simmons is on his way to a new destination. A disappointing playoff run last season has pushed Simmons on the improbable trade list. However, NBA analyst Tony Kornheiser has an interesting plan for Ben Simmons and Washington Wizards’ Bradley Beal.

The last few months have proved to be frustrating for Simmons, with criticism pouring in from all ends. It all began after Simmons passed up a dunk in Game 7 of the eastern conference semifinals against the Atlanta Hawks. That was a crucial shot and Philadelphia lost that game to be eliminated from the postseason.

Now that the players are nearing the upcoming season, there is a new trade suggestion for Ben Simmons. Journalist Tony Kornheiser is confident that Washington Wizards is the ideal team for the 25-yea-old player. For that to happen, the Wizards will have to give up their superstar, Bradley Beal.

Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal led Washington Wizards last year. While Westbrook got traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, Beal is expected to lead the roster next year. But, Kornheiser doesn’t seem convinced with this idea. He suggests Ben Simmons be traded to the Wizards for Bradley Beal.

In a recent interview, Tony Kornheiser told Michael Wilbon – “With John Wall and Bradley Beal, they (Wizards) never won anything. And with Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook, they didn’t win anything. With Bradley Beal alone they’re not gonna win anything.”

This guy Ben Simmons is a much better defender than Bradley Beal,” he further added. “He’s a much better rebounder, he’s a much better passer and will integrate more people on the team and they will be happier. This is a trade that benefits both teams because if Bradley Beal goes to the Sixers they can win a title.”
