Four-time NBA champion Stephen Curry is one of the most loved athletes in the league. One reason could be that the Golden State Warriors superstar indulges in a lot of philanthropy. The Davidson College graduate who made a name playing for them in his rookie basketball days is now giving back to his community. Safe to say, Curry has not forgotten about his former team.

Recently, the 2022 NBA champion launched a massive scholarship scheme for the betterment of the college and its women athletes, in particular.

Like many other superstars in the league, Stephen Curry has multiple philanthropy schemes under his belt. Along with his wife, Ayesha Curry, Steph launched Eat.Learn.Play foundation. They are focused on the betterment of children and ending child hunger.

Moreover, Steph Curry recently launched an exciting new scholarship for women athletes at Davidson College. Back in 2021, Ayesha and Steph announced the creation of a scholarship endowment to elevate women’s athletics at Davidson. Interestingly, Davidson will receive the first batch of athletes signed under this program this fall. But there is more.

“We’re actually going to have the first Curry cohort of scholars here this fall, one scholar-athlete from each of our eight women’s sports”, said the athletic director.

There are a total of eight scholarships to be handed out worth $10,000 each. This comes just weeks after Curry received a massive $75 million boost.

The Warriors superstar has a huge deal with Under Armour which will make him a billionaire in the future. Moreover, they gave him around $75 million to endorse the brand.

Despite winning four championships, Curry graduated very recently

Stephen Curry has been in the league for quite some time now. He was drafted in 2009 and since then, he has dominated defenses around the league at will.

Interestingly, he graduated college very recently. While leading his team in the NBA playoffs, Curry graduated from Davidson College in May 2022. He graduated with a degree in sociology after he finished his final semester of coursework.
