The magic Stephen Curry creates on the court is hard to fathom. People tend to say that the game feels like a video game when Curry dances around on the court. In reality, though, his mind and basketball skills are controlling him. While this video game narrative grows louder, off the court the two-time MVP has joined hands with the gaming company Sega Genesis to create a possible blockbuster animation movie.

Sega Genesis mascots are the ToeJam and Earl characters who became famous because of the action game developed around them. The public was introduced to the game in 1991. Soon, the game went on to be one of the factors that defined hip-hop culture in the 90s. This video game is now partnering up with Stephen Curry’s Unanimous Media and Amazon.

The storyline of the movie would follow the same as seen in the video game. The game revolves around two rap-obsessed aliens who visit earth. The purpose behind their visit is to find a solution to a disease that is eating their planet up.

However, while landing, they crash their spaceship. Hence, the duo is on the hunt to find the pieces of their spaceship while saving planet earth, finding the path to music, and a cure for their planet.

Amazon Studios and Curry’s media company are yet to comment on these reports.

The company is already working on several projects. The baton of leading this project was handed over to author Wes Moore and producer Kalyna Maria Kunty. The co-found of Unanimous Media, Erick Peyton, gave an insight into the motivation behind starting a venture of this sort.

He said, “Stephen and I wanted to launch an initiative where we could work with authors to not just option their material but wholly invest in them.”  The other focus was to make the voices of people heard and develop the dreams of young authors and directors.
