The offseason in 2010 was one of its kind. Sure, shocking trades are a part and parcel of the NBA but nobody had expected that a trio of LeBron James, Chris Bosh, and Dwyane Wade would come together in Miami Heat. This was the beginning of animosity between the fans of the Cleveland Cavaliers and James.
Although they were able to pull off four NBA finals’ appearances together and won two of them, James eventually decided to head back to his hometown’s team. Most fans believe that if James had decided to stick around longer, they could have added more championships next to their names. However, Dwyane Wade isn’t so sure.

Miami Heat legend, Wade recently appeared on Jalen Rose’s ‘Renaissance Man’. In the episode, he is asked about his opinion on if they could have won more titles if Bron hadn’t moved back to play with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2014.
“I don’t know,” said Dwyane. “That Golden State [Warriors] team was right on our heels. I really don’t know. I wasn’t in my prime anymore. Was outside of my prime about 2014. So, that would have made it hard for us to really win if I was still going to be a big part of it. Chris Bosh not knowing what he was going to be dealing with later, he was in his prime and LeBron was in his, but I wasn’t in mine anymore.”

The 39-year-old isn’t wrong. They had barely made it past the San Antonio Spurs during the 2013 NBA Finals. In 2014, the Spurs finished the finals series off against them in five games.
It was during this time that Wade wasn’t at his healthiest, and even the supporting cast had started to age. However, what makes this franchise great is that after this ‘Big Three’, they never hit rock bottom. Since then, they have secured a place in the playoffs four times out of seven and even made it to the NBA finals in 2020.
