Kyrie Irving’s trade left the NBA world in shell shock. Traveling cross-conference, the former Brooklyn Nets guard is teaming up with Luka Doncic. Paired with an MVP-caliber star, KAI might elevate the Dallas Mavericks to contender status. However, in doing so, he left behind his best friend, Kevin Durant. Former NBA star Evan Turner even tweeted sympathizing with the Slim Reaper. But it seems the masses believe he dug his own grave.
Before the season, it was KD who was involved in trade talks. The situation was ugly. The 13-time All-Star called for an ultimatum from Joe Tsai and management to fire then-coach Steve Nash. However, the parties found a way back and returned to the same page. Since then, Durant has had to endure Irving’s off-court drama. In addition, he also dealt with James Harden leaving.
The one who got him to Brooklyn has left the former MVP hanging. And Turner feels it wasn’t fair to KD.

Kevin Durant left all alone after Kyrie Irving’s blockbuster trade
KD and Kyrie were arguably a formidable duo this season. The pair lifted Brooklyn to be one of the best teams in the NBA. With KAI firing on all facets, an extension is likely. However, keeping his old drama in mind, the Nets weren’t completely sold on giving Kyrie Irving $200 million. Demanding a trade, it took just two days to find him a new home.

While the 2016 NBA champion has the potential to make a dynasty in Dallas, KD is probably helpless. Reacting to the four-time scoring champs situation, the former Boston Celtics assistant coach said, “Y’all did kd dirty”. But NBA fans believe Durant’s actions caused his downfall.

KD did himself dirty.
Y’all stop playing and hold this man accountable because he chose this.He asked for Kyrie and Harden and that’s what he got. The fact that he can’t lead a team is on him, he just wants to play ball remember.

💩he did himself dirty. Sometimes life choices dont pan out or not well thought out. Sometimes friends should only be associates. KD was 2 time Champion, 2 time Final MVP. I love my brother, but I would not trust him with my money nor go to business with him. Know Landscape

That’s what happens when you team up with Kyrie. First he drove Harden out of town, now he requests a trade. Guy is toxic. KD should have stayed in GS. Would’ve had a couple more titles at this point.

When he decided to leave, KD didn’t change his formula. When it came to the Warriors, he joined them after a call from Draymond Green. This time, a conversation with Kyrie Irving did the trick. However, things don’t always work out. And that’s just what has happened to the 13-time All-Star.
After spending two chaotic seasons, KD reached his edge. Likewise, he had the chance to move away from the Nets. However, despite all the red flags, Kevin Durant decided to sign an extension. It could be argued that his decision was wrong. But now, nothing can change. KD has to live through his choices and make with what he has.
