“He Should Be Able to Afford a Suit That Fits”: 7’6 Yao Ming Towering Over Ex Hornets Star in Resurfaced Pic Leaves NBA Twitter in Shambles
Houston Rockets legend, Yao Ming was one of the tallest players in the league with a towering height of 7’6. Surprisingly, he was almost five inches taller than the NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal. Now, imagine how small one would appear standing beside someone who literally towered over the Big Diesel. Recently, fans found a similar photo of the eight-time All-Star towering over an ex-Hornets star, which further made a lot of buzz on socials.
The ex-Hornets star was none other than 5’3 Muggsy Bogues. Muggs was never bothered about his short stature and fans could see him rocking a fairly oversized suit, standing beside the Rockets legend.
Lately, a renowned Twitter page shared a photo of Bogues and Ming standing together. In the image, the difference between the two NBA veterans’ heights is very prominent. Muggs is 5’3 whereas ‘The Great Wall’ is 7’6.

The Chinese center, with such a soaring stature, made almost everyone look shorter than him in the league. Notable players who looked small in front of him were the Big Diesel and LeBron James. Shaq, who is listed at 7’1, and King James, who is 6’9 tall, are much taller than the average basketball player’s height of 6’6. However, the difference was much stark in the case of Muggs as he was the shortest player ever to play in the NBA.
