In addition to that, it gave rise to many incredible players like Michael Jordan, Dennis Rodman, Isiah Thomas, Joe Dumars, etc. However, the rivalry also fueled the development of some ill feelings among the players. There are several stories regarding these players’ heated moments, which are also better than one another. Michael Jordan calling out Dennis Rodman

Joe Dumars and Dennis Rodman were arguably the two best defenders playing for the Pistons in the 80s. Therefore, Jordan always had a tussle with them. In addition to that, he also developed some ill feelings for Rodman. The book revealed that Jordan criticized Rodman’s diving prominently.

Rodman flopped so many times that ultimately resulted in Jordan drawing six fouls in his name. This action also made Jordan foul out in the fourth quarter. In addition to that, this led to the Bulls losing the game against the Pistons by a narrow margin.

Jordan’s resentment toward Isiah Thomas

Besides calling out Rodman, Jordan also had resentment toward Isiah Thomas, whose appearance probably made him get the term ‘angel looking’. However, that does not co-relate to the writings of Sam Smith. According to ‘Jordan Rules,’ Thomas and several other players conspired against Jordan to not give him the ball in the 1985 NBA All-Star game. This game might be the starting point from when Jordan developed some ill feelings about Thomas. Therefore, this resentment toward Thomas and Rodman stayed within Jordan until the latter part of his career.
