NBA legend and Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal noted for his eight years spent in the Los Angeles Lakers, recently made a dark confession about one of his most prominent physical features, height. The Big Diesel terrorized the courts with his sheer strength and stature. However now, the fans might get surprised to know about the confession Shaq made about his astonishing stature and how he overcame that.

The two most prominent physical features of Shaq are his height and weight. The Big Diesel is 7’1 tall and weighs around 325 lbs. Lately, the now 50-year-old spilled the beans and shared a dark confession about his height, which undoubtedly was one of the key physical features that helped him to become one of the best centers on the court.

In one of the recent episodes of famous Emirati Youtuber Anas Bukhash’s podcast, Shaquille O’Neal opened up about his trauma and eventually unveiled how he overcame that. During the interview, Burkhas delved deeper into the subject of ‘Traumas’. He said one can question Shaq about how ridiculously tall he was, which makes him look like a giant, and how that could have affected him as a kid. In light of this topic, the four-time champion recalled a similar story of his life. He made a shocking confession, “I didn’t want to be tall.”

Subsequently added how he overcame that. The 50-year-old said “But a disadvantage can always turn into an advantage. Because I don’t want to be tall, all the stuff that my little friends could do, I could do. You jump off this building and let me do it…”

Thereafter added, “So it affected me a little bit but I was like okay, you’re right I look crazy tall but I’m gonna just gonna hang out with these little guys and just do what they do. And then by 13,14,15,16,17, I’m an athletic beast. I dance like a little guy, I can do skateboard, I can roll, I can do everything the little guy can do.”

In other words, the four-time champion accepted the fact that he was ridiculously tall and used his height for his own good. Incidentally, this particular physical feature of the Big Diesel helped him to turn into a formidable force on the hardwood. His height combined with his strength made him effective both on the offense and defense during his NBA days.
