Since the Los Angeles Lakers icon LeBron James stated that he wants to share the court with his elder son, Bronny James, many have wondered as to when the whizz-kid will play in the league. ESPN’s Jonathan Givony gave an answer to this long-awaited question a couple of weeks back by projecting that Bronny would be a top 10 pick in the 2024 NBA draft. Recently, the Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant revealed why the analyst projected him as a top 10 pick. He also gave advice to the rising star that might amuse fans.

Bronny currently plays for his high school team, Sierra Canyon, and is in top form this season. The 18-year-old has led his team to victories on multiple occasions over the past few months.

Durant sat with Eddie Gonazlez on one of the latest episodes of The ETCs Podcast and talked about a plethora of topics. At the start of the interview, Gonzalez asked his thoughts about Bronny being projected as a top 10 pick. KD replied, “I didn’t see it coming…but I guess see how it is Bronny’s a McDonald’s All-American, Hoop Summit member… probably Jordan Classic, so yeah, I can understand why he’s up there.”

Subsequently, the host asked the 13x All-Star that as to whether he would advise the whizz-kid to wear LeBron 20 shoes as he is currently sponsored by another brand. The Suns guard initially replied with a no but eventually said, “That it would be tight if he wore the 20.” Moreover added, “You know McDonald’s is a prestigious accomplishment…you know what I’m saying, I’m sure he wouldn’t want to separate himself like that.”

Durant thought it would be cool if the Sierra Canyon senior wore his father’s shoes as it would signify the closeness between him and his father.

The two-time champion expressed in the aforementioned interview that he was rooting for the 18-year-old and would love to see him play with his father on the hardwood. He said, “I’ve seen Bronny laying the ball up a couple years ago. Now I see him taking off everywhere. His body developed. I feel like we’ve been watching him since he was two, three years old, you know what I’m saying?”

The 2x Finals MVP continued, “So to see where he is now, I’m rooting for him. Hopefully, he gets to play with Bron at some point.”

It’s quite not clear where Bronny would play next as he could play college basketball in the near future or might just end up in the league just like his father.
