The dedication and hard work Michael Jordan put into basketball to become the player he was cannot be doubted. The journey to becoming one of the best athletes in the world and one of the greatest players in NBA history wasn’t easy for him. 

Younger generations now look to Jordan as a role model, who won gold medals at the Olympics and multiple championships on the NBA court. Even after he retired, many athletes are inspired by the legacy he left behind.

And for many years he was the face of the NBA. He believed that hard work would defeat everything, and in his career, he proved this to be true time and again.

The year Michael Jordan was blessed with a daughter

In an interview MJ gave prior to the start of the 1992 season, he discussed his situation in the game and what he planned to do in the season ahead. He also hinted that he didn’t plan to take paternity leave when his ex-wife Juanita became pregnant in 1992.

“Yeah, I’m looking forward to that I told her you to know, hopefully, she can have it when I’m in town and I can be there. But I told her that I probably wouldn’t miss the game, but once the game is over I would come home and hopefully be there for her support, but I’m looking forward to it, hopefully it’s a girl this time.” As it turned out, Jordan was blessed with a daughter as he wished.

Jasmine Jordan’s relationship with her father

As Jordan and his children got older, their relationship grew stronger, and especially with his daughter Jasmine, it is a cherished one. The way she speaks of her love for her father and how much her father appreciates her has been mentioned in many interviews. 

“I was definitely a daddy’s girl growing up,” Jasmine said in an interview with the Associated Press. In addition, she mentioned that Michael Jordan still refers to her as a “Princess” to this day.
