One of his long-time buddies is American rapper Fat Joe. Recently, Shaquille shared a glimpse of a video featuring Fat Joe in his Instagram story. Back in 2021, Joe appeared on Showtime?s sports podcast, All The Smoke. The celebrity rapper revealed an incident when Shaq nearly scared him to death when the Lakers legend visited his Miami-based studio in 2008.
Shaquille O’Neal nearly gave Fat Joe a heart attack
One night, Fat Joe walked into his studio in Miami. The studio was all dark when he came in and noticed a huge shadow of a human being in front of him. Fat Joe got really scared of what he saw in the dark. He felt like someone had come to kill him. Joe?s heart skipped a beat until he finally managed to get the lights on and saw Shaquille O?Neal standing there.?
Shaq was with the Miami Heat in 2008. The four-time NBA champ came in to drop the news that the team had traded him to Phoenix Suns. Joe?s reaction after Shaq revealed that he wanted his friend to be the first to know about it was quite hilarious. Fat Joe said, ?F**k hell, I was going to die.?
It was not the first time Shaq had done something like this to his friends. He often leaves his friends in a frenzy with his unique surprises.
Shaq is different from the others
Shaq gave his rapper friend a near-death moment that he would not forget his entire life. But, the 15-time All-Star seemed to be a completely different person on the basketball court. The Big Diesel was unafraid and used his massive personality to take down the toughest of oppositions time and again.
When off the court, Shaq is a funny man who is loved by all. He often pulls off pranks on his buddies and makes everyone around him quite happy. However, what he pulled off with Fat Joe is one of the classic Shaq stories that defines what the big man is all about.
