The fans have always witnessed his witty and funny side, but Shaq also had his on-the-court side to him, one that was ruthless, angry, and willing to do anything to win. Lately, Shaq revealed that during his childhood he grew up with anger management issues that got carried forward into his adult life. Moreover, Shaq also disclosed how his children helped him to deal with this situation.

Recently, Shaquille O’Neal’s docu-series named ‘Shaq’ got released on HBO on Nov 23. The docu-series revealed much more about the Los Angeles Lakers legend than what fans might have seen until now. However, among them, his story about how his children helped him to deal with his anger issues caught the viewers’ attention.

Shaq revealed that he considered anger as his superpower while growing up, but it quickly took over him when he grew as a player. It created trouble in his home if he played a game badly. His mistakes on the court reflected back in his home through his anger. Moreover, he said in the docu-series, “I would tear s**t up,” regarding what his anger made him do in his home.

However, the Big Diesel revealed that his children helped him to overcome this issue. He understood that his kids didn’t care how he played on the court, but for them, it was just to see their father’s face. Slowly, by spending more time with his kids, he made his anger come under his control.
