The Los Angeles Lakers have had a tricky journey so far. With so many new faces, chemistry has clearly come up as an issue. However, another major reason is the absence of LeBron James. So right after their win over the San Antonio Spurs, a close source spoke about James’ injury and updated on how he has progressed.

The Lakers won their 8th game of the season as they took down the San Antoni0 Spurs. Led by Anthony Davis, they won the tie 114-106. LeBron James can return soon

It is clear that the Lakers have struggled without LeBron James. Despite having the firepower, injuries have not played in the favor of the Lake Show. But it seems that won’t be for long. A close source to LeBron has revealed that he is very close to his return, and is looking great in his on-court workouts.

Whereas, head coach Frank Vogel has accepted that LeBron is yet to take part in a full practice or any contact drills. Notably, James has now missed six games in a row for the Lakers. This is the first time (with last year’s exception) the ‘King’ has had such injury troubles, and it is understandable. LeBron James has spent a lot of time being on top of the league and age does have an effect on the body.

But good things appear to be coming in for the Lakers. While LeBron James is close to returning, one star already made his comeback against the Spurs. Talen Horton-Tucker made his first appearance of the season, returning from his thumb injury.

The 21-YO is a huge piece for the purple and gold. Not only does he add some youth, but he is a great talent on both ends of the floor. No wonder he tallied 17 points with a steal and block each on his return.
